Message from the CEO | People on the Move

First National Title Insurance Company (FNTI) is moving quickly to become licensed in 11 more states (UT, NV, VA, MD, DC, PA, OH, MI, SC, NY, NJ) with a goal to be operational in all 11 states by June 2021. As with any good expansion plan, this one requires an enormous operational effort and the addition of outstanding staff. FNTI recently reached the 50-employee milestone and more team members will be added over the next few months. 

We are also fortunate to have the ability to promote within.  I am pleased to announce that DJ Horn, Senior Vice President/National Agency Manager, will take on a new role to lead our exploration efforts in the new states including those mentioned above.  He will be involved in the related Land Title Associations and gather information on how business is conducted in these states. DJ is perfectly suited to this new role because of his experience mastering the intricacies and nuances of various Rates and Rules Manuals.  As for his existing agent network and relationships, we have already begun to introduce his agents to other members of our agency staff including the newest team members in the Western Region. Remember, DJ will never be farther away than a phone call. 

In next month’s Blog, I will be able to announce additional new members to our team and their responsibilities. It is difficult for me to realize that only eight years ago, we started FNTI with five employees dedicated to creating a company that focused on the independent agent.  We had a plan and a purpose but just needed a vehicle. That vehicle is now the ninth largest title underwriter in the country and that plan has been revised to broaden our horizons. Yet, our purpose has never changed—to become the company that people want to do business with—because they know, like, and trust us. 

I am humbled to be a part of this incredible group of 50 FNTI teammates.  They are dedicated to our agents, our profession, and our future.  We are excited about our expansion as we grow into a national underwriter.  Thank you for your continued trust in FNTI.  

Our company motto that we “…do business with those we know, like, and trust” still rings true.  It is a motto we live by.  We want you to know us, like us, and especially trust us.
