Out & About: FNTI Launches in Colorado with a Golf Tournament!
August 13, 2020It is so difficult to watch the news, listen to the radio, or walk into any business and be reminded that 2020 has upended the lives of millions of people and that there is no “normal.” The initial response to this unknown virus was to shut things down and isolate, but we quickly learned that that was not an option. We had more to do – we are an essential business and our economy required a mechanism for the real estate markets and financial institutions to keep operating. If not us, then whom? Who was going to close the refinance transactions that were created by record low interest rates? Who was going to close the purchase transactions those low rates spurred? The title industry is one of the few bright spots in an otherwise challenged economy, and we had to find a way to continue our operations while keeping our employees and customers safe.
Earlier this year we created COVID-19 best practices and encouraged our customer, clients, and associates to adhere to CDC guidelines, and we anticipated that these measures were temporary. Now that we are into August, we recognize these best practices will be here for the remainder of 2020 and into 2021. Let us know how we can help you continue to operate under these extraordinary circumstances. Our legal team, agency team, and support teams are available and at your service.
New Website
On a brighter note, please check-out www.fnti.com. Our marketing team has updated our website and created a customer friendly, easy-to-maneuver way to access the latest news and information about First National Title Insurance Comany (FNTI). Our Agency and Underwriting Bulletins now have filters to allow you to search by key words, dates, or by state. We moved the Forms section, including the Over Limits form into our FirstNET portal so that these items are password protected. We will soon post our Underwriting Manual and Endorsement Manual to the same secure environment. Bulletin AGNAT-2020-005 explaining the changes and how to get access to FirstNet was sent out last week. If you need more information, contact Tamela Sackett at [email protected] for assistance with your password and access to FirstNET.

New Western Division
On an even brighter note, at the end of June, FNTI issued a press release announcing the creation of a Western Region Division and the all-star team that was hired to develop it. The team of Brian Phillips, Devin Storms, Kim Whitlock, David Dickard, and Susan Stewart are going to introduce FNTI to Colorado, Utah, and Nevada and assist our team in Arizona and New Mexico. It was exciting to bring them on board and even more exciting to see where they will take us in the future. FNTI is now licensed in eight states that include: Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Florida, Colorado, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Tennessee. And we have plans to expand into an additional 11 states by the end of 2020.
