Message from the CEO | First National Title Hosts Hollywood Extravaganza at Land Title Institute

For the past 25 years, the Texas Land Title Association (TLTA) has offered an educational program, the Texas Land Title Institute (TLTI), in December at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort.  It is unlike any other TLTA seminar and draws a large crowd of attorneys and agents from all over the state.  Due to the quality of the program, the event consistently sells out.  First National Title Insurance Company (FNTI) has been a sponsor of the Institute for the past several years, and we believe it is an excellent opportunity to connect with our agents that attend the meeting.

This year, our agents gathered for our “Hollywood Nights” party.  Suzanne Tinsley and the FNTI staff creating an “Oscar” themed evening, complete with Marilyn Monroe, a cigar hostess, and an awards ceremony hosted by George Stablein.

Awards were given out in the following categories:

• Best Performance in a Movie About Title Insurance
  • Sally Hough – Menard Title & Abstract Co. in “Steel Magnolias 2”
• Best Picture
  • Gretchen Wright – Texas Secure Title Company in “Chariots of Title”
• Best Documentary
  • Tracy McMahon – Capital Title of Texas in “I’m Winning a Trophy or Else!”
• Best Actress in a Sci-Fi Movie
  • Camille White – N-Title in “Terminator 8 – Rise of the Software Programs”
• Best Performance in a Musical
  • Kyla Dodson – Garner Abstract and Land in “Karaoke Star is Born”
• Best Performance in a Historical Drama
  • Carl and Laura Bedgood – Guaranty Title of South Texas in “From Here to Eternity: A Life with Chris Phillips”

We enjoy hosting our agents at these types of events, because we get to visit with them one-on-one.  It is our way of connecting without the distractions and the hustle and bustle of 660 title individuals crammed into the vendor hallway.  It is also our way of thanking you for allowing us to earn your business in 2018.
