First National Title Insurance Company Hires Sean Everest as Underwriting Counsel

First National Title Insurance Company (FNTI) expands its underwriting team with the addition of industry veteran, Sean Everest.

“The number of agents representing First National Title Insurance continues to grow along with the demand on our existing underwriting staff.  We do not see this as a problem but as an opportunity to improve our outstanding service levels by adding a young, experienced lawyer to the underwriting team.  Sean Everest is our most recent hire and brings a wide variety of expertise to FNTI.  His knowledge of the Texas market is an essential component of our growth strategy.  And with that broad base of knowledge, we knew we had the right candidate to join the FNTI underwriting team.” stated CEO and President Chris Phillips.

Sean’s introduction to the title industry began at a direct operation in San Antonio where he learned the escrow and title examination side of the business.  He then spent time in the oil and gas industry and as a football coach, before returning to the title industry as underwriting counsel for a title agency in San Antonio.  His most recent endeavor involved working at a real estate brokerage firm as general counsel.  Sean Everest said, “I am excited to get back to underwriting transactions and finding solutions for the FNTI family of agents.”
