🛡️ Fraud Shield Agent Spotlight – Levelland Title
May 12, 2026🛡️ Fraud Shield Agent Spotlight – Capital Title of Texas
At FNTI, we know that strong fraud prevention is built on effective processes—and the people who take the time to follow them.
Today, we’re recognizing Cheryl Singleton of Capital Title of Texas for a great catch that demonstrates exactly what it means to be a Fraud Shield Agent.
As part of Capital Title’s vacant land transaction process, Cheryl recognized that the file required the notification letter to be sent to the owner of record. She followed the established protocol and promptly sent the letter.
The owner later contacted Cheryl after receiving the notification and confirmed that they were not selling their property. Because Cheryl followed the process and paid attention to the details, a potentially fraudulent transaction was identified before it could move forward.
Why This Matters
Identified red flags, followed protocols, and stopped an attempted fraudulent transaction before it closed.
Cheryl’s actions are a great reminder that procedures are only effective when people take the time to follow them. Her vigilance and commitment to the process helped protect both the customer and Capital Title.
Thank you, Cheryl, for your attention to detail, your commitment to doing things the right way, and for upholding the standards that set Capital Title apart.
