Independent Agents’ Month: Outstanding Agent Award Winner – Great Northern Title & Abstract, Inc.

Located in the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Great Northern Title & Abstract, Inc. has been locally owned and serving the Marquette area since 1983.  In 2018, the original owners decided it was time to move on to their next chapter in life and retire but didn’t want to close down the agency and started to look for a potential buyer.  The desire was to sell the company to someone that was local and would care about the community and what they had built as much as they did.  After a few discussions that didn’t work out, three of their employees decided that they wanted to give it a shot and made them an offer.  Five years later, Amy Thomas, Jill Schwenke, and Julie Hartung have found their groove as partners, and Great Northern Title & Abstract, is thriving and growing into something better than even they expected.
