Blackacre Escrow Title & Abstract, LLC in Gatesville, Texas formed in 2013 to offer the citizens of Coryell County another title company option. Operating as Blackacre Title Company, its growth is due to making customer service the primary factor according to Manager Treva Bigham. “We’ve been told, ‘ya’ll just communicate’ with the customers and each other.” In October 2016, owners Cy Long IV, Steve Buckner, and Treva Bigham purchased the company and have been a driving force in retaining and expanding its business not only in Coryell County but now also Bell and McLennan Counties.

Operating in a county with Fort Hood Army Base has made the staff adapt to all kinds of closing situations involving military personnel. This has especially helped in getting transactions closed during the restrictions of the COVID pandemic.
