To provide Realtors an overview of the U.S. housing and lending history with focus on the residential loan assumption process.

The class will cover the following topics:

o A historical review of residential home loan development in the United States and how buyers and sellers benefited from these new loan products.

o Examine the market forces that provide the opportunities for home loan assumptions to be realistic option for home buyers and sellers.

o A discussion of different types of loan assumption programs, related forms, timelines and processes for realtors to follow when asked to do a loan assumption real estate transaction.

o How to discuss the loan assumption process with clients, and properly process the real estate transaction.
This class satisfies the one-hour of "General" credit.
