Independent Agents’ Month: Outstanding Agent Award Winner – Texas First Title Company, LLC

Following his instincts, Jackson Hanks, owner of Texas First Title Company in Palestine, seized the opportunity when he heard that an out-of-town title company was going to build a title plant in Anderson County. Jackson’s experience as an attorney board certified in residential real estate law and farm & ranch real estate law provided excellent training for his new role in the title industry. With the help of an outstanding support staff, Texas First Title Company, LLC has been servicing Anderson County since getting licensed with the Texas Department of Insurance in September 1998.

SVP/Agency Manager, Geri Hosterman, says she chose Texas First as an Outstanding Agent Award Winner this year because “Jackson has always been very involved in the community. He served three terms as mayor of Palestine from 1989-1995 and earned a Texas Road Hand Award from the Texas Department of Transportation for his support in building good roads in Texas during his tenure. His latest endeavor involves a small non-profit organization named Blankets and Bears started in 2007. The initial focus was supporting sexually assaulted children and adolescents. Although this group continues to be supported, the primary focus now is “Care Closet” started last summer to address food insecurity. Food insecurity among children is a significant problem in his county and beyond. Blankets and Bears provides food to children in need to overcome this difficulty and assists them in becoming responsible citizens as they mature. Jackson has served as president of Blankets and Bears several terms and is now ready for the next generation to carry on his efforts to improve the community.”
